Sources and editorial approach
See the evidence behind the guide, its ownership, review process and correction route.
An independent guide by Andeor
Sega Mauritius is an Andeor editorial project. It is not a government website, a UNESCO project or a representative body for sega practitioners. The people and communities who sustain the traditions remain the authorities on their own practice.
How the guide is researched
We use cultural institutions, community organisations, scholarly research, artist archives and credited record catalogues. Practical advice is identified as editorial guidance. We separate a source’s publication date from the date it was checked. Dates, prices and availability are never inferred from a generic tourism description.
The current source review was completed on 30 October 2026. Research and drafting used AI assistance; this is a desk-researched guide, not a claim of interviews or fieldwork. No practitioner endorsement or cultural peer review is implied. Corrections and direct contributions are welcome.
Contribute a correction
Send the page URL, the passage concerned and a source or explanation to henri@andeor.travel. For a photograph or recording, include ownership and permitted uses. A contribution is reviewed before publication; sending it does not automatically grant a reuse licence.
Editorial and commercial boundaries
No paid placement determines the artist or instrument directory. External listings identify their actual operators. A future commercial link must be disclosed where it appears. The guide does not sell tickets or instruments and does not assert that Andeor operates listed performances.
